The Book of Wisdom, which is only included in the Catholic Bible, is an amazing book with amazing pearls of wisdom. Many theologists believe it was not included in most Bibles because it contains powerful truths that can awaken the masses.

I’ve read the book twice, and I am happy to share with you amazing pearls of wisdom from it.

Enjoy:

Wisdom Chapter:

1: 1-3 – ‘Love justice, you who judge the earth; think of the Lord in goodness, and seek him in the integrity of heart; because he is found by those who test him not, and he manifests himself in those who do not disbelieve him.’

2: 23 – ‘For God formed man to be imperishable; by the image of his own nature he made him.’

2: 5 – 6 – ‘Our life is the passing of a shadow and our dying cannot be deferred because it is fixed with a seal, and no one returns. Come, therefore, let us enjoy the good things that are real, and use the freshness of creation avidly.’

3: 1 – ‘The souls of the just are in the hand of God, and no torment shall touch them.’

3:9 – ‘Those who trust in God shall understand truth.’

3:11- ‘Those who despise wisdom and instruction are doomed. Vain is their hope, fruitless are their labors, and worthless are their works.’

6: 12 – 13 – ‘Wisdom is bright and unfading. She readily appears to those who love her. She’s found by those who keep seeking after her. She makes herself known even in advance to those who desire her with all their hearts.’

6:15 – ‘Taking wisdom to heart is the way to bring your thinking to maturity. The one who can’t sleep at night because she’s consumed with thinking about her will soon be free from worry.’

6: 20 – ‘The desire for wisdom leads to sovereignty.’

7; 14 – ‘Wisdom is an unfailing treasure; those who gain this treasure win the friendship of God.’

8: 17 – ‘There is immortality in kinship with wisdom.’

10: 9 – ‘Wisdom delivered from tribulations those who served her.’

11: 22 – ‘Indeed before you (God) the whole universe is as a grain from a balance or a drop of morning dew come down upon the earth.’

13: 1 – ‘Naturally foolish are all who are unaware of God, and who, from good things seen, have not been able to discover Him-who-is, or, by studying the works, have not recognized the artificer.’

13: 5 – ‘From the greatness and the beauty of created things their original author, by analogy, is seen.’
