N/B-The term “God” represents the Creative Force that created the world and governs it. I use the term “he” when referring to God simply because it’s the most familiar expression, I do not imply that God is Male.
Growing up, whenever I felt frustrated because I wanted something badly and I was not getting it, my parents always told me to trust God’s timing because God’s timing is perfect. I never believed in this idea of God’s timing, but later I believed it after watching several nature documentaries.
My obsession with nature documentaries helped me realize that God’s timing is indeed perfect. God created the natural world and he governs it in a way that reveals a perfect order in his timing. This perfect timing becomes evident in the way events in the natural world unfold, particularly in the lives of animals.
God designed animals to give birth precisely when conditions favor the survival of their young. Herbivores, like Wildebeest or Zebras, give birth when fresh, green grass is abundant. This abundance ensures that females have plenty of nourishing food that enables them to provide a rich milk supply for their newborns.
Carnivores, especially those in the Savannah, also have miraculous timing when it comes to reproduction. Many give birth during seasons when prey is plenty. This ensures that the adults can hunt more easily and provide the necessary nutrition for their young.
Birds are another wonderful example of this perfect timing. Many birds’ eggs hatch when insects are abundant. This ensures that the nestlings, which always need constant feeding, are always well fed.
This perfect timing extends to the plant world too. Plants drop their seeds at specific times when the right rainfall, sunlight, and soil conditions ensure the proper germination of seeds. Moreover, many trees’ fruits ripen when fruit-eating animals have not migrated so that they eat them and help spread their seeds.
Plants and animals do not consciously participate in the perfect timing evident in nature. They lack the intelligence to understand that reproducing or giving birth at specific times will ensure the survival of their species. This perfect timing occurs because their lives are governed by an intelligent creative force, which we often refer to as God.
Anyway, this perfect timing also applies to the lives of humans, because as God governs the lives of plants and animals, he also governs our lives.
Many times, we find ourselves wanting something desperately, whether it’s a new opportunity or a romantic relationship, and we become frustrated when it doesn’t arrive when we expect it. We often feel that we know exactly when things should happen, so when we experience delay, we become disappointed and doubtful.
But often, when these things finally come to us, we realize that the timing is perfect. For instance, we might have wanted a certain job, a relationship, or a major life-change to happen quickly, but only later do we understand that we weren’t ready for it yet or that the timing wasn’t right for us.
It’s as if God holds back certain things, knowing that we need to learn, grow, or prepare in ways we can’t foresee.
Therefore, if you’re striving for something with all your heart and it’s not coming, consider reflecting on God’s perfect timing in your past experiences and in the natural world. Remember that, although we are intelligent beings, our understanding is limited. God, the highest intelligence, knows when the time is truly right for us to receive what we want.
By surrendering to this truth, you attune yourself to the natural flow of life, knowing that just as God provides perfectly for animals and plants, he provides for you too in ways that you may only fully appreciate later.
Knowing that God’s timing is perfect and trusting in his timing allows you to be at peace, trusting that, ultimately, everything will unfold exactly as it should.
As life unfolds, practice patience, knowing that there is a reason behind every delay and every unexpected turn. The more you trust the perfectness of God’s timing, the more you’ll begin to see that every event serves a purpose, guiding you toward the right opportunities and shaping you into the person you were meant to be. Rather than clinging to specific outcomes, you will learn to let go and allow life to flow naturally.
You’ll eventually realize that God’s timing is perfect because it leads you to experiences that are tailored to your growth and fulfillment. You’ll learn that, like the rhythms of nature, your life is meant to unfold according to a divine schedule that aligns your personal journey with a greater, purposeful order.
So, move forward with faith and gratitude, knowing that God’s timing is perfect, never early, or late. Appreciate where you are and trust in the process, knowing that the creative force that ensures perfection in the natural world, will also ensure that everything happens at the right time in your life because you are also part of nature.
